Nikon’s Z mount is the widest in full-frame cameras, enabling new ways to design better, sharper lenses.

 

Focal length: 600 mm

Super-telephoto length perfect for shooting sports and wildlife. Add a teleconverter and get up to 1200 mm reach.

 
Angle of view: 4° 10’ in FX

2° 40’ in DX format.

 

Lens construction: 21 elements in 14 groups

The inclusion of a Phase Fresnel (PF) element allows substantial reduction in size and weight of the lens.

The lens weighs 1470 g with a tripod collar or 1390g without one. This makes it the lightest 600 mm lens in its class by some margin, while the compact size makes it easy to carry and to use handheld.

Controls: One L-Fn button and four L-Fn2 buttons to set to the user’s own preferences

AF-on button to control AF, control ring and focus ring. All the controls you need, right where you want them.

 

Vibration Reduction: 5.5 stops

VR can be switched to OFF/NORMAL/SPORT modes. Up to 5.5 stops of VR available, and 6 stops of Synchro VR with the Nikon Z 8 or Z 9.

 

AF drive: Stepping motor (STM)

Allows for fast and quiet focusing for sport and wildlife.

 

Maximum reproduction ratio: 0.15x

 

Aperture range: f/6.3-32

Maximum aperture of f/6.3 will give you beautiful background separation at long reach.
